Reduce Stress and Anxiety With Fitness

Do you suffer from anxiety and stress in your life? If you’re asking yourself “who doesn’t?!” right now then this short article is for you.

There is so much stress in the world with everything being fast paced and most of us trying to fit in so many things that we’re becoming a highly stressed society. Add to that the realisation that phones are stuck to our hands or ears nearly all day and well into the evening, and it’s no wonder that our cortisol levels are high (that’s known as the stress hormone) and we’re feeling overwhelmed than ever before.

Not to mention that we’ve got so many different things we have to do this week that the schedule is completely full.

That means we need to find an area to relax. Which is where exercise and fitness can come in. There are numerous research studies out there that have linked rates of exercise with a better mood and less stress.

If you’re quite anxious a lot the time then exercising and fitness can help with that too. Being fit, looking great and feeling good will give you a great amount of confidence to go out there and take the world on how you want to do it.

Exercise is good for your physical health (I think we all know that), but not many people know that physical exercise is also great for your mind and mental health too.

There are studies that link the amount of stress that we suffer with advanced signs of aging, so if you’re wanting to look younger then having less stress in your life is one reason to start exercising more often.

When you’re looking to keep anxiety and depression at bay then having a regular exercise regime is just what the doctor called for. It will help you remove negativity and you’ll experience the feel good endorphins from being active.
